ONLINE TALK: 150 Years of Ice Age Research at Creswell Crags

This talk will explore the excavators, the excavations, and subsequent research on the uncovered Ice Age archaeological and palaeontological remains from this important site.

Dr Jones is Curator of Creswell Crags with a keen long-standing interest in the prehistory of the site. While undertaking an MSc in Quaternary Science, she completed a dissertation on the mammals found inside and outside of Church Hole. Following this, she completed a PhD, researching the spotted hyaenas that lived in Europe during the Pleistocene (the period from 2.6 million to 11.5 thousand years ago).
