A one-day workshop perfect for beginners looking to pick up the basic skills required to carve stone.
You will be shown how to create a relief carving of the Greenman. The Bath stone we will use is easy to carve and you will be able to take it home with you.
Andrew is a SPAB William Morris Craft Fellow and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquarians of London and as a Partner of Minerva Stone Conservation Ltd works all over the South West to conserve our built heritage. His books The Stonemason (published 2021) and Church Going: A Stonemason's guide to the Churches of the British Isles (published 2024) are both available from the Wiltshire Museum shop.
