Faces in the Museum
For all ages (younger siblings welcome)

This session will look at different time periods through exploring the faces found on artefacts in the Museum.
It will include:
- A spotter trail to find faces found on objects throughout the galleries
- Chance to explore the Piper Art Exhibition to see faces on the ceramics
- Artefact handling
- Making a medieval style clay face with step-by-step instructions
- Painting face designs on ceramic plates
- Creating embossed foil jewellery inspired by Celtic designs
Morning session - 10.30 am to 12.30pm. If you would like you are then welcome to us our lecture room or outdoor area for a picnic and then carry on exploring the rest of the Museum after lunch. We are also running the same theme on Friday 22 May for older children and teens who require a quieter learning space.
£6.50 per child, one accompanying adult (per child) free. £3 for each additional adult(s) per child.
Ages: 6 to 11, younger siblings welcome
Booking: essential - maximum 12 children per session. Please note: the system may show adult tickets still available, even though all the child tickets have sold)
Refreshments: we do not have an on-site cafe, but you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
